Key information
Overview
This is the Selection Guidelines of Schiphol Nederland B.V. on the Zero Emission Buses Airside Invitation To Tender. The Contracting Party follows a Negotiation procedure with prior announcement and for this Procurement Procedure each market participant interested in taking part is invited to submit an Application. Some passenger transportation on airside at both Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (‘Schiphol’) and Rotterdam-The Hague Airport is currently provided using buses. Not all aircraft can be handled at a gate that has the appropriate facilities, such as a passenger boarding bridge. Some flights at Schiphol are handled at remote platforms and passenger transportation requires buses. This is mainly the case for the handling of short-haul flights within Europe, but some long-haul flights are also handled using buses. Due to replacement of the old buses, the opening of the new A-pier, renovations and increased remote handling of airplanes, SNBV will need to increase the number of buses significantly. SNBV 's ambition is to meet the demand for transportation in a smart, efficient and innovative way. The basic principle here is that this process should contribute to SNBV’s ambition for zero emissions by 2030. SNBV has decided to split the tender into two (2) separate lots. One lot for Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and the other one for Rotterdam The Hague Airport. Both airports will need Zero emission buses but they have completely different dynamics and differ on technical and functional needs, which is why SNBV decided to split them into two lots. This also gives room for different parties to submit an application on either one or two lots.
