Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM) seeks Tender responses for the Provision of Organisational Strategy Development and Advisory Support (2027–2032). BIM is preparing to undertake the development of its next organisational strategy, covering the period 2027–2032. This strategy will set the strategic direction for the organisation over the medium term and will guide BIM’s priorities, resource allocation and engagement with stakeholders across the seafood sector and the wider public-policy environment. The strategy development process is expected to take place between Q3 2026 and Q4 2026 (approximately) and will be undertaken in an environment characterised by evolving policy priorities, fiscal considerations, sustainability imperatives and sectoral change. The strategy will need to be informed by a focused review of the implementation and delivery of BIM’s current strategy (2021–2026), alongside a robust assessment of the current operating context, stakeholder perspectives and relevant national and international developments. BIM has established a Strategy Core Team, comprising the Chief Executive Officer and the Senior Leadership Team, which will act as the primary decision#making body throughout the strategy development process. The Strategy Core Team will be responsible for approving strategic direction, key assumptions and final outputs. To support this process, BIM requires strategy development coordination and advisory support to work closely with the internal BIM Strategy Team, which has responsibility for coordinating the development of the strategy on behalf of the organisation. The appointed Strategy Support Resource will act as the operational lead for the strategy development project, working in close collaboration with the BIM Strategy Team and under the direction of the Strategy Core Team. The role is advisory and facilitative in nature and will support, but not replace, internal ownership of the strategy.
