Overview

UKNNL are seeking expressions of interest from suppliers capable of providing a split butterfly valve system suitable for powder handling and transfer operations. Minimum Technical Requirements • Be suitable for the transfer of powders and quick-connect/disconnect operations. • Accommodate connections in the region of: -100 mm to 50 mm diameter, or -100 mm to 80 mm diameter to minimise the potential for product blockage. • Be compatible with hydrofluoric acid (HF Resistant) at concentrations of approximately 25-50% by mass. • Be suitable for operating temperatures up to approximately 300°C. • Be suitable for operating pressures from full vacuum to approximately 3 barg. Additional Information • An integrated vacuum system for removal of powder from between split butterfly valve faces is not required. • Alternative materials of construction may be considered such as stainless steel. • Particular attention should be given to the suitability and chemical resistance of sealing materials for hydrofluoric acid service. • Sealing materials must be suitable for hydrofluoric acid (HF) at the specified process concentrations.
