Overview

The contract concerns the project "Eclipse Theia Platform", which covers development of scalable methods for managing increasing volumes of dependency updates, code contributions, and security reports while addressing the maintenance backlog. As part of three work packages, the contract covers the clearance of outdated and vulnerable dependencies together with a reusable record of how each update affects the platform, an AI-assisted first review of incoming code contributions, and a structured process for assessing and resolving security reports. The aim of this service is to keep a vendor-neutral foundation for developer tools secure and maintainable for the organisations that build on it and for the people who use their products.
