Overview
The City of London Corporation (the City) is a complex and federated organisation, delivering local authority services, commercial activities and specialist charitable funds. It is implementing SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Edition and SAP Analytics Cloud, with a systems integrator appointed, in what is believed to be one of the first SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud implementations in UK local government. The City's Financial Improvement and Transformation (FIT) Strategy sets the ambition for a high-performing Finance function. Programme Sapphire and the move to SAP are a key enabler of that ambition. This Preliminary Market Engagement is about Finance transformation enabled by SAP and aligned to the FIT Strategy: defining how the Finance function as a whole should be structured and should operate to support the Corporation's strategy and be successful, and how we transition to it.
