Overview

With the publication of the contract notice for the Pipe joints –Aramis project - Long Lead Items (LLIs) –Line pipes on TED with reference number: 409015-2024 and publication date d.d. 09/07/2024 the four partners: TotalEnergies EP, Shell, Energie Beheer Nederland (“EBN”) and Gasunie, started the execution of a project for a CO2 transport and storage service, being the Aramis Carbon Capture and Storage (“CCS”) Project. This transport and storage service project aims to contribute to the energy transition by providing CO₂ transport to storage capacity in order to help enable parties that seek emissions reduction by means of CCS at scale. In April 2025 TotalEnergies EP, Shell, EBN and Gasunie have outlined the next phase of the Aramis CCS project including a new structure for the project. More details can be found here: Aramis CCS | Aramis takes next step towards investment decision The new structure sets out a clear division of roles and responsibilities leveraging the strengths of all partners. TotalEnergies EP, Shell, EBN and Gasunie will continue to jointly develop the Aramis CO2 transport infrastructure to its Final Investment Decision. After which, it is intended that EBN and Gasunie will be the investors in the Aramis CO2 transport infrastructure without the participation of Shell and TTE in the (future) Aramis Joint Venture. Such Joint Venture will be established as the contracting party with whom the agreement will be concluded following this tender and will consist of Gasunie and EBN only. Therefore TotalEnergies EP will no longer be the mandated party acting on behalf of the four partners as contracting authority of this tender. This task will be taken over by EBN. Please note that this change in the partnership has no further impact on the ongoing tender procedure as the nature of the assignment remains the same. The selection phase of the procedure has already been completed and EBN and Gasunie will publish the call for tender as soon as possible. In case you do not agree with this change in the tender procedure, you must make your objections known within 20 calendar days from the date of announcement by serving a summons in summary proceedings to the mentioned four partners before the competent interim relief judge of the District Court Den Haag, location Den Haag. If, after the expiry of these 20 calendar days, you lodge a judicial claim in connection with this change, the four partners will invoke the inadmissibility of your claim. The 20-calendar-day period therefore counts as an expiry period. See comments under description
