Key information
Overview
The OEP requires external research support to undertake the first phase of a project examining whether nature recovery policies and programmes are beingdelivered in ways that maximise benefits for people and places, while achieving environmental outcomes. This work will support the OEP's scrutiny of whethernature recovery is delivering wider benefits for people, such as improved health, wellbeing, access to nature and climate resilience. It will also examinewhether those benefits are reaching the communities and places that need them most. This contract will be for Phase 1 only and the commissioned work will include a review of existing evidence and policy, collation and assessment of relevant data, mapping areas of unmet need and screening-level identification of opportunities, barriers and trade-offs. This will form the basis for deciding if and what to pursue in a subsequent phase of more detailed analysis.
