Procurement Act 2023
Direct award SAP (UK) Limited is the incumbent provider of Northern Gas Networks' enterprise ERP and cloud software estate, including SAP SuccessFactors and the associated cloud applications covered by this contract. The services are fully integrated with Northern Gas Networks' existing SAP architecture and underpin critical workforce management, training, analytics and operational data capabilities. The existing systems have been configured for Northern Gas Networks' requirements and are dependent upon established data structures, technical integrations and interfaces across the wider SAP environment. An alternative supplier could not provide the requirement within the existing environment without the replacement or substantial reimplementation of the current systems. This would require the migration of business-critical data, rebuilding of existing integrations, reconfiguration of business processes and retraining of users. Replacement would therefore create significant additional cost, implementation timescales, delivery risk and potential disruption to critical business services. Competition is absent for technical reasons associated with the interoperability, configuration and integration of the existing SAP environment. SAP (UK) Limited is the only supplier capable of providing the required continuation of these services without full system replacement and material operational disruption.
