• For mental health inpatients cardiology tests will, wherever possible be performed in the appropriate setting. Where this is not possible, the patient will be escorted by a member of Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust staff to the Cardiac Investigations Department • Out-patients and patients from community hospitals requiring cardiology tests will attend the Cardiac Investigations Department. • Initial recording of cardiology test results will be provided by Cardiac Physiology staff. Interpretation and reporting will be available by request to the Cardiac Investigations Department. • Urgent referrals, as indicated by the referrer, will be seen within 24 hours of referral. • Non-urgent referrals for E.C.G.s will be seen within 5 working days. All other routine referrals will be placed on the Department's waiting list. Contract Awarded under PSR - Direct Award .A. Two year contract.
