Work includes: • Extend the rear entrance step to a tread depth of 1000mm and install a metal railing along the length of the step, on both sides. (See drawing T-5401). • Installation of a platform and ramp at the front entrance, (See drawing T-5400). • Construct new concrete ramp with minimum clear width of 1200mm and fall of 1:20. (2 ramp flights with half landing and level platform to front door). • Surface of ramp to be smooth and joints to be flush with surrounding area. • Provide 100mm High kerb to exposed side of ramp and platform. • Construct steps to side of level platform, (See drawing T-5400). • Provide 1 Acco drain to level platform and connect back to existing surface water sewer. • Widen existing concrete footpath to front of house to give access to ramp. (T-5400) • Provide 900mm high metal handrail to ramp and steps. (see T-5400) • Removal of all demolition debris from site - which is to be suitably disposed of. All builders waste associated with demolition to be removed and disposed of in accordance with current legislation. • All new work to comply with current Building Regulations standard, KCC issued drawings and KCC standard specification. • Full remedial works to the existing dwelling necessitated by the works. (e.g., make good the walls, allow for re-painting as required.) to be included. • Tying in all services to existing and making good all finishes affected by work both externally and internally to be included. • Please note that the house will be occupied throughout the construction period.
