Stage 2 (Project Review 4) approval has been granted. DCC City Architects are the design team lead who are currently responsible for overseeing the integrated design team who are led by External Architects. To date DCC Quantity Surveying Division has formed part of the external integrated design team and has been responsible for the production of Stage (i) Feasibility Cost Report, Stage (ii)a Outline Cost Plan and Stage (ii)b Developed Cost Plan. External QS Services are now sought to assist in taking the project through the CWMF Stages (ii)c to Stage (v), CWMF Project Review phases 5,6 and 7. CWMF Stage (iii) Tender phase requires the preparation of full pricing documents (BoQs) in accordance with ARM5 for public works contracts. A detailed budget submission will be required for issue to the Sanctioning Authority for approval to issue project to tender (Project Review 6). Pending budget approval from the Sanctioning Authority (Project Review 6), the QS Services will extend to finalising the pricing documents (BoQs) in accordance with ARM5 for public works contracts and assisting with the final population of the tender documents. Upon receipt of tenders QS Services in the cost comparative evaluation and tender assessment process will be required to produce a request for budget approval report (Project Review 7) from the Sanctioning Authority. Fees for QS Services for the Construction and Handover CWMF Stages (iv and v) will also be sought in this competition, this requirement is pending but likely. The Project in question is the regeneration of the existing 38 unit Glovers Court Housing complex to provide 53 residential housing units and all associated siteworks and precinct improvement works. The proposed mix is as follows: 15nr – 1bed apartments 30nr – 2 bed apartments 8nr – 3 bed apartments The units are to be delivered as follows: Category 1 (26 units) to be formed within the footprint of the existing apartment blocks, through extensive alteration / modification works including complete strip out to shell, amalgamations structural alterations and additions, re-configuration, deep retrofit and remedial works.
