Die Stadt Emsdetten plant den Umbau, die Sanierung und die Erweiterung der Schule Hollingen auf dem jetzigen Gelände. Es soll der gesamte Bestand der Schule Hollingen modernisiert (technisch, funktional und tlw. auch räumlich; z.B. Akustik, Barrierefreiheit, Brandschutz, usw.) werden, da die Gebäudeteile aus den Jahren 1951 (Altbau), 1965 (Foyer, Klassen und Verwaltung) und 2006 (OGS) stammen.
