Overview

Catchment Actions for Local Management (CALM) Project is a collaborative, evidence-led initiative dedicated to restoring and protecting shared river catchments across borders. By bringing communities, land managers, researchers and public bodies together, CALM improves water quality, supports nature recovery and promotes sustainable practices. CALM is a project funded by PEACEPLUS - “A project supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).” Loughs Agency’s role within the CALM Project will be the delivery of Nature Based Solutions. As lead partner for the delivery of such solutions in the Finn Catchment, the Loughs Agency is proposing to carry out riparian improvement works in the Cronamuck area. As a North South Implementation Body, Loughs Agency uses NEC4 for works contracts rather than OGP Public Works Contracts. The NEC4 Engineering and Construction Short Contract (ECSC) is being used for this project. Due to the nature of the works and the requirement to determine the locations of installations in conjunction with the Agency and affected landowners, it is a mandatory requirement that Tenderers attend a site visit before submitting tender proposals. Further information can be found in the Information and Instructions document within the CfT Pack. Note that the deadline for requesting site visits is 5.00pm on Thursday, 9 July 2026.
