Key information
Overview
The NPHDB is seeking quotations for defrosting devices intended for use in the preparation of infant milk and feeds within centralised clinical milk and infant feed preparation areas across NICU, PICU, and other high acuity clinical settings on behalf of CHI for the NCHI. The primary function of the device is the controlled defrosting of frozen human milk and infant feed.
NCHI requires a device specifically designed to safely defrost infant feed bottles from frozen to a clinically appropriate temperature, for use in a controlled clinical milk preparation environment.
NCHI also requires a combination defrosting device capable of defrosting both infant feed bottles, and Syringes used for infant feeding. A combination solution is preferred to minimise the number of separate devices needed in preparation areas, considering limitations such as space, electrical outlets, support, and ongoing maintenance needs.
