Overview
As part of the DART+ Programme, IÉ are undertaking the design of an enhancement of Connolly Station to handle an increased train frequency. This is to be obtained through the creation of a new station entrance at Preston Street, connecting with Platforms 4, 5, 6 and 7 to manage increased passenger numbers safely. To develop the design, the following information is required to support design assumptions. Intrusive investigations are to be undertaken to confirm sizes and details of identified elements within the existing structure; The elements of interest are described within the specification. This will involve, but is not limited to, substructure inspection pits, substructure investigations, various coring, and contamination testing sample pits.
