Overview

The objective of this CFT is to establish a framework agreement for the provision of Pest Control Services to the Housing Strategy, Capital and Maintenance Directorate of Limerick City and County Council with one single supplier appointed. The successful tenderer will be required to provide pest control services on a planned and reactive basis in relation to the following: rodents (rats and mice), flies, insects, aphids and as necessary, birds and feral cats but not limited to these pests. Rodenticides will only be permitted for use when absolutely necessary and must be applied in line with the 2019 regulations in Ireland regarding the use of rodenticides. On the instruction of Limerick City and County Council, the provision of Pest Control services in the following work areas throughout Limerick City and County; Tenant occupied local authority housing stock (circa 5000-6000 units) Halting sites Area offices and depots It is anticipated that up to 450 callouts will be required within a 24-month period from the commencement of the contract. However, no guarantee of such a volume of works is made to the applicant. It is anticipated that the Framework Agreement will commence in the third quarter of 2026 and that the term of the Framework Agreement will be for up to 24 months from establishment with an option to LCCC of two further 12-month extensions.
