Overview
A funding package of approx. €6M has been announced for the Sliabh Beagh Eco-Tourism Project (Letter of Engagement received in May 2026) to deliver on the outputs of a 2023 feasibility study. In broad terms the projects/ interventions can be divided into 4 elements as follows: A Walking, cycling and equestrian trail upgrades and new trail links B Knockatallon village green development as key arrival hub C Gateway signage into Sliabh Beagh D Public Art x 3 (one installation in each council area) The successful consultancy team will be required to progress these elements through planning, detailed design, and to tender stage (stages 1-2). They will be required to fulfil the role of Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP).
