De Digitale Productie Omgeving (hierna te noemen: DPO) is het productieplatform dat NPO Access Services sinds 2018 gebruikt voor de ondertiteling ten behoeve van niet- en slechthorenden. Het faciliteert de planning, voorbereiding en uitvoering van ondertiteltaken. Dat zijn er jaarlijks ruim 60.000 waarvoor 100K-plus ondertitelbestanden worden gedistribueerd naar verschillende afnemers. De helft van de taken bestaat uit het leveren van ondertitels uit archief en wordt automatisch afgehandeld. Voor de overige taken interacteren gebruikers met het systeem. De hiervoor benodigde materialen worden door het systeem verwerkt. Er zijn 60 in-, en externe gebruikers. Het DPO is geïntegreerd in de systeemarchitectuur van NPO Access Services en de NPO Uitzendketen.

This amounts to over 60,000 annually, for which 100,000-plus subtitle files are distributed to various clients. Half of the tasks consist of delivering subtitles from archives and are handled automatically. For the remaining tasks, users interact with the system. The necessary materials are processed by the system. There are 60 internal and external users. The DPO is integrated into the system architecture of NPO Access Services and the NPO Broadcasting Chain.
