The Municipality of Rijswijk is currently (re)developing three densely built urban areas. In these neighborhoods, traditional methods of waste collection may pose significant challenges. To address these issues, the municipality is considering the use of an Automatic Waste Collection System (AWCS). A feasibility study has shown that an AWCS could be a viable solution for these projects. However, no final decision has yet been made regarding the implementation of one or more of these systems in the identified areas. Before presenting the final plans to the municipal council for approval (the go-ahead decision), the municipality wishes to contact companies that provide such systems. This will allow the municipality to gather relevant information and insights prior to making a definitive choice. Furthermore, it is essential that our requirements within the tendering process align with current market offerings. For this reason, we have organised this market consultation.
