Key information
Overview
Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke) is requesting offers from suppliers for the procurement of laboratory scale biogas reactors. The preliminary procurement target is laboratory-scale continuously stirred tank reactors (CSTRs) for research purposes. Reactors must be suitable for studying process performance, especially the methane production and digestate quality, of anaerobic digestion of various types of biomass: slurries, sludges, manures, and also drier materials (plant biomass, food waste, etc.) as a co-feedstock. Equipment is needed for semi- or fully continuous operation with regular feeding and regular or continuous removal of digestate. Reactors must be equipped with adjustable stirring and temperature control; the heating mechanism must ensure a stable temperature. The requirement is for two (2) CSTR units. In addition, the procurement includes an option to purchase up to two (2) additional identical devices. The optional devices are identical in terms of their technical characteristics and delivery conditions to the devices included in the primary procurement. The options shall be procured at the same prices and under the same contractual terms as the primary devices. The contracting authority does not commit to a minimum purchase quantity. The contracting authority shall decide separately on the use of the options. The contract period is 2 years.
