Direct award The requirement relates to the maintenance and partial replacement of the existing Traka key cabinet estate. Traka is the manufacturer and current support provider. Preliminary market engagement was undertaken to identify alternative suitably qualified suppliers; however, no alternative supplier expressed interest. A change of supplier would also introduce compatibility and technical support issues with the existing Traka systems. The direct award is therefore considered justified on the basis of technical reasons and the requirement for additional/replacement goods compatible with the existing estate.
