Award procedure without prior publication of a call for competition This contract is being awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 using Direct Award Process C. The current contract for Intermediate Care Ward GP Provision is due to expire and East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust has assessed the incumbent provider, Hastings and Rother Healthcare Federation Ltd, against the Provider Selection Regime key criteria and basic selection criteria. The Trust has concluded that the provider is delivering the existing service to a satisfactory standard and is likely to continue to satisfy the requirements of the proposed contract. The proposed contractual arrangements are not changing considerably from the existing contract and the service model will remain substantially unchanged. The provider has demonstrated effective integration with Trust services and partner organisations, supported improvements in patient flow and reablement outcomes, contributed to reduced acute length of stay, and provided consistent GP cover through an experienced clinical workforce.
