Key information
Overview
Fintraffic Railway Ltd has started a lifecycle upgrade for the traffic management systems. In this upgrade, a new traffic management system (TMS) – called Atlas – will be developed which will replace both the existing centralized traffic control systems (CTC) connected to interlockings and the systems which will assist traffic controllers in traffic management. This new TMS system needs an integration platform for communicating with ETCS-based centralized safety systems (CSS) covering both interlocking (IXL) and radio block centre (RBC). The new TMS will be a collection of background services and front-end applications made with modern web technologies. These components require real-time data from CSS and also a possibility to send commands to CSS. The communication between the integration platform and CSS will be established by using EULYNX SCI-CC protocol with Finnish extensions over RaSTA protocol.
