Overview
GWR requires the supply, repair, refurbishment, testing and overhaul of hydraulic and pneumatic components used across its rolling stock fleet and depot equipment. This includes valves, pumps, actuators, cylinders, hoses, fittings, seals and associated control equipment, together with fault diagnosis, component identification, collection and delivery, testing, certification and other specialist engineering support as required.

Direct award Tidyco provides specialist hydraulic and pneumatic components and associated repair and overhaul services used across GWR's existing rolling stock fleet and depot equipment. Continuity of the existing supply and repair arrangements is required to maintain compatibility with existing equipment and avoid disproportionate technical difficulties, additional engineering assessment, testing, cost and potential disruption to fleet maintenance. The direct award will provide an interim contractual arrangement while GWR undertakes a competitive tendering exercise for the longer-term requirement.
