Key information
Overview
Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown County Council is seeking tenders from suitably qualified and experienced ground investigation contractors to undertake intrusive combined geotechnical, hydrogeological and geo- environmental investigations to inform the design of a proposed access road and vehicle parking at Ticknick Park. The investigation comprises of boreholes (cable percussion and Geobore-S rotary boreholes), trial pits and dynamic probes. Soil samples are required from the boreholes and trial pits for geotechnical, geochemical and geo-environmental testing. Groundwater monitoring standpipes are to be installed within several of the boreholes. Groundwater monitoring and sampling will be required from these installations as well as from an historic borehole located on the site. Several tufa springs are also located along the banks of the Loughlinstown River. Flow rate monitoring of these springs is also required.
