Dublin City Council has directly awarded to Cunningham Civil and Marine Limited at a value of €75,000 for Clontarf Overtopping Drainage works. The works consists of: Health and Safety, secure site, mobilise welfare facilities, pedestrian management, sawcut footpaths at 20 No. locations, core 20 No. drainage holes up to 1 m in length, grout in stainless steel sleeves, install 20 No. inline non return valves, allow for works around the tides, reinstate footpaths and prepare as built drawings and safety file This contract has been awarded using the negotiated procedure without prior call for competition as permitted by Directive 2014/24/EU Article 32.2 (c) in so far as is strictly necessary where, for reasons of extreme urgency brought about by events unforeseeable by the contracting authority, the time limits for the open or restricted procedures or competitive procedures with negotiation cannot be complied with. The circumstances invoked to justify extreme urgency shall not in any event be attributable to the contracting authority.
