The provision contains essential services that enable and support CYP with a disability to live ordinary family lives, to have fun, try new activities, gain independence, and make friends, whilst providing parents and carers with a much-needed respite from their caring responsibilities. Lot 1 - Provision for children and young people with autism spectrum condition (ASC) accompanied by severe learning disabilities and/or behaviour that is challenging.

Direct award The council conducted a competitive procurement but did not receive a suitable tender capable of delivering the required service at a level that would enable the authority to discharge its Best Value Duty. The authority has therefore relied on Section 43 of the Procurement Act 2023 to make a time-limited direct award while longer-term arrangements are reviewed and re-procured.
