Overview
One (1) of the core activities of the Transport Modelling Division (“TMD”) of the National Transport Authority ("Authority") in 2026 is to update the reference cases for the South East Regional Model (“SERM”) and West Regional Model (“WRM”) based on the latest available data, including Project Ireland 2040 – the National Development Plan (“NDP”) 2021-2030 and National Planning Framework (“NPF”). This core activity supports the Authority’s strategic objective to “ensure the effective delivery of the Authority’s Capital Investment Programme”, which requires the provision of transport planning and understanding of future travel demand. The scope of Services shall encompass the completion of five (5) tasks for both the SERM and WRM with regard to the above mentioned reference cases.
