Miniaturized RED-Wave NIR spectrometer for 0.9-1.7um range with 512 element InGaAs photo diode array (PDA). Pixels are 25um wide x 500um tall for high sensitivity, and includes an integrated thermo electric cooler (TEC) for operation at -10°C. The detector array will have < 1% non-adjacent pixel defects which will be corrected by software. An integrated 16 bit digitizer provides spectral data with detector integration times as fast as 1ms. The detector incorporates correlated double sampling to produce a signal-to-noise of 4000:1. Front panel switch controls deep well operation for 10X detector gain. Standard slit size is 25um to match pixel width and provides 2.5nm resolving resolution. (resolution can be 1.25nm with a 1024 element detector) The unit size is an amazing 5"x3"x2" and the spectrometer interface is standard high speed USB2.0 for PC connection. The USB interface also supports older USB-1 ports which are 40x slower.
