From the Fishery and Monitoring Centre, the Dutch North Sea is monitored daily for fishery activities. The two most important tasks are to implement the (European) fisheries policy, which must enable sustainable management of fish stocks and thus prevent overfishing, and the (European) fisheries-related conservation measures, which must prevent damage to nature caused by fishing activities. This is monitored using the Vessel Monitoring System as well as the AIS system, which acts as a cross-check function. For the supervision of the Dutch Fisheries Fleet, NVWA requires the weekly provision of a digital data set. With this market orientation, the NVWA wants to gain insight into which parties can carry out this assignment. a agreement for several years.
