Overview

Road Traffic Management required for S+E Projects South and West. Contractor must allow that for any given week, there can be multiple worksites at all locations outlined below: Locations as detailed below: Crossing upgrade works Mainline, Cork to Portlaoise. Crossing upgrade works Cork to Cobh-Middleton. Crossing upgrade works Limerick - Ballybrophy line, Nenagh branch. Crossing upgrade works Limerick - Limerick Junction section. Crossing upgrade works Limerick Junction-Waterford-Rosslare line. Crossing upgrade works Limerick - Foynes section. Crossing upgrade works Waterford - Athy section. Crossing upgrade works Greystones - Rosslare line. Crossing upgrade works Kerry Line, Mallow to Tralee. Crossing upgrade works Portarlington to Galway, Mayo Lines. Crossing upgrade works Enfield to Sligo line. Expected commencement date: 12.10.2026. Works can be nights or days and over weekends. Traffic Management will be required consisting of a three person crew SLG trained operatives and one person on-site must be a chargehand. Stop/Go system with various traffic cones and warning signs deployed on both sides of the road to protect the worksite. The Traffic Management team must have a means of communication i.e. radios and also all staff carrying out required duties must be certified for same. Traffic Management plans are to be provided by successful RTM Contractor to Irish Rail staff in advance of works commencing. Stop / Go System set up at night must have sufficient lighting arrangements to ensure safety of staff and road users, this lighting must be provided by the the road traffic management contractor.
