Overview

Labour hire will be required to assist in the: Waterford Station Resignalling Project. Level crossing upgrade works in the Wexford area. Level crossing upgrades works on the Cork-Dublin Mainline. Signalling upgrade works on the Mallow-Tralee Kerry Line. Signalling upgrade works in the Cork Kent station area. Signalling upgrade works in the Cork East, Cork-Cobh-Midleton lines. Signalling upgrade works in the Limerick Colbert station. Signalling upgrade works on the Limerick-Foynes line Project. Labour resource will be required to assist in the installation of signal equipment under the direct supervision of team leader / gangers. Labour resource will also be required to assist in the installation of signal equipment under the direct supervision of team leader / Electricians. Requirement is from 12/10/2026 Requirement may not be on consecutive weeks. Work may take place on Days / Nights Mid week or/and Days, nights Weekends as required. Contractor Drivers should have license for pulling trailers (BE). Van supplied must have a hitch for towing trailers as required. Long Wheel Based Transit (Crew Cab) or similar to allow pulling of appropriate twin axle trailer supplied by IÉ. All staff must have abrasive wheel certification, PTS, Safepass. Contractor drivers should have licence for pulling trailers and licence/certification to drive forklift. All Contractor staff to have certification to operate a forklift and minimum of one staff per work group to be certified Banksman. Minimum of one staff per work group to be certified first aider, and each vehicle supplied to have first aid kit fully stocked. All Staff to have Small Plant and Tools (SPAT) certification. All Staff to have Brush Cutter and Strimmer certification. All Staff to have Pesticides PA1 and PA6A # Hand held Applicator (Knapsack Sprayer) certification. Several crews may occasionally be required. All contractor staff to have own PPE equipment clearly marked as Contractor or contractor company logo and compliant to Irish Rails High visibility clothing, as a minimum, with the requirements for Class 2 garments set out in IS EN ISO 20471:2013.
